President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
This meeting took place during President Dr. Muizzu’s current official visit to China to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
During the meeting, held at the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Center, both leaders noted the strengthened relations between the two countries. They also discussed further enhancing these ties and expanding economic cooperation between the two nations in the future.
Additionally, the two leaders deliberated on strengthening people-to-people connections, increasing economic collaboration, and enhancing business and investment opportunities between the two countries.
In his remarks during the meeting, President Dr. Muizzu expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for the hospitality extended to him during his official visit to Azerbaijan last year to attend the COP29 Summit.
The meeting concluded with assurances of further strengthening the relationship between the two countries and continued collaborative efforts in the future.
