Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has opened its first auditorium, giving the company a dedicated venue for meetings and events that will also be made available to government institutions and businesses.
The new facility features a 425-seat conference hall alongside a separate 28-person boardroom, along with catering facilities and other amenities needed to host conferences, meetings and corporate events.
MWSC Managing Director Hussain Fahmy said the auditorium was designed and built entirely by the company’s own employees and completed within just 45 days, crediting the team behind the project for their work.
Until now, MWSC had relied on rented venues for meetings and larger gatherings, having no auditorium of its own. With the facility now operational, the company plans to open it up for use in government and corporate events.
The opening ceremony included a religious sermon on the importance of unity delivered by Sheikh Ahmed Sameer, attended by Managing Director Hussain Fahmy, board members and MWSC employees.
