Tickets have gone on sale for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup qualifying match between Maldives and Timor-Leste, with the highly anticipated fixture set to take place in Malé.
The match will be held at the Galolhu National Stadium on Tuesday evening, as both teams prepare for a crucial encounter in their qualification campaign.
According to the Football Association of Maldives, tickets are currently being sold exclusively at the stadium’s ticket counters. Prices have been set at MVR 50 for side stands and MVR 100 for chair seating. Sales will continue until 11:00 p.m. tonight and will resume tomorrow morning from 10:00 a.m.
Both teams have been intensifying preparations ahead of the match. Maldives’ national squad has expressed confidence in their fitness and readiness, although they will be without key player Hamza Rasheed, who is sidelined due to injury.
The squad includes several experienced internationals, among them former captain Ali Ashfaq and Ibrahim Waheed, adding strength and depth to the team.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Timor-Leste coach noted that the strong home support expected in Malé could make the game particularly challenging for his side.
In their previous meeting held last year in Australia, Timor-Leste emerged victorious. As a result, the upcoming match presents an important opportunity for the Maldives to respond on home ground and strengthen their position in the qualifiers.
